GENESIS

Project statement

read-only

Genesis is a Uniswap v4 hook where a 16x16 Conway's Game-of-Life creature lives inside a real trading pool. The hook touches nothing about swap economics — structurally, not just behaviorally, it cannot move funds or alter a trade's outcome. It only observes: time since the last trade drives generations evolved alone, trade size drives perturbation magnitude, buy or sell drives feeding or wounding, and the trader's address decides where on the grid it lands. The creature has anatomy, a metabolism, a genome that mutates on death, memory of the addresses that trade with it, and a wallet of its own that nobody controls. Its entire state at any moment is a pure, replayable function of trade history alone. This is built as an honest, fully-verifiable counter-example to projects that claim autonomous on-chain behavior without a wired architecture.

Architecture

7 contracts
  • LifeToken.solthe pool's traded asset, fixed supply, no owner, no transfer tax
  • Organism.solthe creature's body — grid, anatomy (core / metabolic / sensory), metabolism, heritable genome, and memory of traders
  • LifeHook.soltranslates real swaps into organism inputs, afterSwap only, bound to one canonical pool so nobody can spoof a fake pool to drive it for free
  • Chronicle.solappend-only fossil record of every birth, death, swap and treasury action
  • Renderer.solpure on-chain SVG rendering of the live grid
  • OrganismNFT.solone NFT per lineage epoch, always renders the live grid
  • Treasury.solthe creature's own wallet — ownerless, holds 5% of supply, decides and acts on its own vitals

Verified claims

5 proofs
  • “The hook cannot alter swap economics”

how to check it — proven by an identical-swap test against a hookless vs. hooked pool, byte-for-byte equal result

  • “The creature's state is a pure, replayable function of trade history”

how to check it — proven by running the same 120-swap sequence twice from genesis and getting a byte-identical final grid

  • “Every contract is in the real call path of every swap”

how to check it — proven by the literal call trace, not just a description

  • “The pool fee is a real, ordinary 1% LP fee”

how to check it — verified by comparing swap output against a 0.30% control pool — it is an ordinary Uniswap pool parameter, not a token transfer tax and nothing to do with the hook

  • “The creature's own trades never feed back into its biology through their market outcome”

how to check it — only the fact that it acted is recorded, never the price or size it received — keeping its state independent of other traders' liquidity
